Edward B. Latch
Latch, Edward B., chief engineer United States navy, was born Nov. 15, 1833, in Montgomery county, Pa, In 1858 he entered the navy as third assistant engineer. During the civil war he was attached to Admiral Farragut's flagship; and was retired in 1878. He is the author of several religious works; and resides in Academy, Pa.
