In the Name of God Amen, I Henery Heiligh of Cheltenham Township in the county of Philadelphia in the Province of Pennsylvania yeoman being aged & infirm in Body, yet of Sound disposing Mind Memory & understanding, Blessed be God Therefore, Do think proper to settle & dispose of my outward affairs by these presents in way of my Last Will & Testament in manner following, to wit,

First I order that all & Singular my just Debts Funeral & other expenses concerning me or my Estate be well & truly Paid and Discharged.

Item, I Impower and Authorize my Executor herein after named or Survivor of them to Sell & dispose of, by Pubilk Sale, or Vandue to the highest bidder, all and Singular my Messuages, Tennements Lands and Real Estate whatsoever which I may be Possessed of at the time of my Decease, and in my name & Stead to Make Execute and Acknowledge proper authentic Deed of Deeds of Conveyance for the same or any part thereof to the purchaser or Purchasers his her or their Heirs and Assigns for Ever, and the money arising & payable by such sale & all other my Estate whatsoever Debts & expenses so being paid I dispose thereof in manner following Viz, I give and Bequeath to my beloved Wife Susanna the sum of Two hundred Pounds Current Lawfull Money of Pennsylvania together with my best beding & all furniture thereto belonging, all our Kitchen furniture, all our pewter, one dresser & furniture thereof, one Mare & one Cow to dispose of all which as she pleases, in full of her part of dower or widows part of my Estate

Item, I Give and Bequeath to my Grand Daughter Barbara Heiligh the only Surviving Child of my late Eldest son Henery Heiligh Deceased the Sum of Seventy-five Pound Money aforesaid in full of her part or share of my Estate as the representative of my said son decides.

Item I bequeath the sum of three pounds like money to my friend Samuel Mecklin of Germantown, Tanner, in Trust, and to be by him paid to and for the use of the Lutheran Church in Germantown aforesaid.

Item I Give and Bequeath all the Rest & Residue of my Estate Whatsoever unto my four Children now living Viz, George Heiligh, Johannes Heiligh, Anna Maria the present wife of Michael Sloanacre, and Susanna the present wife of Henery Deany to be equally divided amongst them part and Share alike. Lastly I Nominate Constitute and Appoint my Trusty Friends John Fry and Peter Bockius both of Germantown aforesaid in the said County of Philadelphia & Province aforesaid Shopkeepers Executors of this my Last Will and Testament hereby revoking all former ones by me made, Ratifying these present only for & as my Last Will and Testament. In Witness whereof I have hereunto Set my Hand and Seal Dated the Twenty Ninth Day of October in the year of our Lord One thousand Seven hundred and Seventy two

Philad’a May 26th 1775 Personally appeared Thomas Rose and George Fisher two of the witnesses to the aforegoing Will and the said Thomas Rose on his solemn Affirmation according to the Law And the said George Fisher on Oathe did respectively declare That they saw and heard Henry Heiligh the Testator therein named Sign Seal publish and declare the same Will for and of his last Will and Testament And that at the Execution thereof he was of sound disposing Mind Memory and Understanding to the best of their Knowledge and Belief
