Last Will and Testament of John B. Johnson
Died at 4 O'Clock P. M.
On the 1st day of December A.D. 1878
Proved & approved Dec. 31, A.D. 1878
Book 15, Page 180 & 181 Montgomery County Pennsylvania
I, John B. Johnson of Gwynedd Township Montgomery County and State of Pennsylvania being of sound mind, memory, and understanding, do make and publish this, my last will and testament, hereby revoking and making void all former wills by me at anytime heretofore made.
First, I direct all mu just debts and funeral expenses to be fully paid by my executors hereinafter named, as soon as conveniently may be after my decease,
Item, All the rest, residue and remainder of my Estate, real, personal, and mixed, whatever and wheresoever, I give, devise and bequeath unto my ten children: William, Penelope, Charles, Conrad, Catharine, George, Mary, Francis, Elizabeth, and Emma, their heirs and assigns, to be equally divided among them, share and share alike and in case it shall become necessary, for the purposes of said distribution to sell my said real estate, I do hereby authorize and empower my said executors, hereinafter named, and the survivor of them, to sell and dispose of any and all of my said real estate, whereby public or private sale or sales, for the best price or prices that can be gotten for the same and by proper deed or deeds conveyances or assurances in the law to be duly executed, acknowledged and perfected, to grant, convey, and assure the same to the purchaser or purchasers thereof in fee simple.
Item, I nominate, constitute and appoint my sons Wm. B. Johnson and Charles J. Johnson Executors of this my last will and testament.
In witness whereof I, John B. Johnson, the Testator, here to this, my Will, written on one sheet of paper, set my hand and seal this first day of March Anno Domini one thousand eight hundred and seventy six.
Signed, sealed, published and declared by the above named John B. Johnson, as and for his last will and testament, in the presence of us who have hereunto subscribed our names as witnesses thereto, in the presence of the testator and of each other.

Personally appeared before me, George L Bowman and John R. Bowman the subscribing witnesses to the foregoing Will, who being duly affirmed according to law, did depose and say that, they were present, saw and heard the testator John B. Johnson in said Will named, sign, seal, publish and declare the same to be his last Will and Testament. And at the time of so doing he was of sound mind, memory and understanding, to the best of their knowledge and belief and that they signed as witnesses to the same, at the request of said testator in his presence and in the presence of each other.
