Last Will and Testament of John Cressman

In the name of God Amen -

I John Cressman of Franconia Township Montgomery County & in the Province of Pennsylvania yeoman, I am not at present healthy in body, but of sound mind interstanding & memory, thanks be to God my Creator but having the uncertainty of this life, do make and ordain this my last will and testament in manner following, First I recomend my soul in the Hand of the almighty God my creator & my body to the earth to be decently buried at the deseretion of my Executor and as for my worldly good & effects. Wherewith it hath please God to bless one in this life. I give & dispose the same in manner following - First of all I will that all my just debts and funeral charges be duly satisfied & paid by my hereunto named Executors out of my estate.

Item I give to my beloved son Anthony Cressman the sum of two hundred & fifty pounds.

Item I give to my son John Cressman the sum of two hundred and nine pounds. Item I give to my beloved daughter Elizabeth while was married to Henry Hartman the sum of two hundred pounds.

Item I give to my daughter Mary which is married to George Wissel the sum of two hundred pounds. Item I give to my daughter Catherine her son William Mellinger the sum of one hundred pounds- Item I give to my daughter Hannah which is married to Conrad Siple the sum of two hundred pounds- Item it is my will that my son Anthony Cressman shall have a good deed for his plantation which doth lie in Rockhill township & in the County of Bucks which deed is to begot in the office in Philad. Of all the cost is my will to take out of my estate after my decease befor any of my children shall have any. Item I give twenty five shillings for to up hole the fence about the grave yard where all my family is buried on John Furmans land.

Item it is my will that what each of my children have or may be found either in bords nates(?) or in my book shall be counted as a part of his her or their share. Item if all the former bequests are paid to each of them here in name & the remainder of my goods or effects what will be over shall have all my children share and share alike. Item it is my will that my dwelling place situate in Franconia Township & County of Montgomery shall be sold at a publick sale and all my moveable estate shall be sold at a publick sale five weeks after my desease. Item I give full power & authority unto my here unto named Executors to make good sufficient deed & deeds to the buyer or buyers of my land & dwelling place as good as I do if I was a living and lastly I constitute my son Anthony Cressman & my sons son Jacob Cressman to be my whole & sole Executors of this my last will and testament. Revoking here by all other wills & bequests by me here to for made. Ratifying and confirming this only to be my last will & testament. In witness where of I the said John Cressman have here unto set my own hand and seal the second day of April Anno Domini one thousand seven hundred and eighty five.
